The problem with Margaret Weis is that she's too darn fun. Seriously. I have read a fair amount of her stuff and no matter who she is paired with, you are certain to get high adventure, serious intrigue, and plenty of fun. I downloaded The Day is Ours because the blurb filled me with fond memories of Dragons of Autumn Twilight: Chronicles, Volume One (Dragonlance: Chronicles). And, gosh darnit, now this quickie hit on my Kindle is likely going to lead to more exploring in the Dragon Brigade world. Be warned folks, this 'short story' may well lead to further addiction.Product details

Tissues? This is a fantastic background story on Stephano, a major player in the Weis & Krammes series, Dragon Brigade. This story covers Stephano's time as Lord Captain of the Dragon Brigade and is set before Book 1 of the series. Story as it may be, the writing is excellent and the story fascinating. I was angry, appalled, and tearful following along with the tale. The writers truly connect the reader with this amazing new world!

Nice background story to the Dragon Rider books. I think the second in the series is one of the best science fantasy books of the year. I could not put it down.
